Nearly Completed I-355 Extension Lures Buyers to Goodings Grove Condominiums
Aug 9, 2007 -
Adding to an already convenient location, the Homer Glen exit on the I-355 extension, scheduled for spring 2008 completion, has buyers scurrying to the condominiums at Goodings Grove in Homer Glen.
According to sales manager Linda Reichert, the Homer Glen exit links buyer to the city and northwest suburban employment centers in record time.
"With the Homer Glen exit and I-355 extension nearing completion, we’ve had a recent influx of busy professional buyers looking to take advantage of this commuting convenience," Reichert said. "Goodings Grove has always enjoyed a convenient setting with shopping, restaurants, medical facilities and a health club within walking distance. But the new I-355 extension and Homer Glen exit offer exceptional commuting ease to buyers who work in the northwest suburbs or in the city. And, when they learn they can own a new maintenance-free condominium for under $300,000, the appeal of Goodings Grove in undeniable."
Goodings Grove is a Gallagher and Henry Homes community of semi-custom single-family homes and maintenance-free condominiums. A total of 96 condominiums are offered in six buildings with buildings one and two currently selling homes priced from the $260,000s. The third building is expected to open for sales later this month. Two professionally-decorated models are open daily for touring.
"In addition to the maintenance-free environment, our condominiums have numerous features that other condo communities simply don’t offer," Reichert said. "The large eat-in kitchens and formal dining space are always mentioned as a benefit when buyers tour the models. In addition, the condominiums include elevators, heated underground parking and a large storage area in the garage for each condo owner. The spacious designs live like single-family homes offering the optimum square footage for entertaining and the outdoor balcony opens to extend those possibilities in warmer months."
The two plans which are shown as models include the Alden and the Dover. Both homes can be purchased with or without a second floor loft overlooking the living room.
Highlights of the Alden include two bedrooms; two baths; formal dining room with tray ceiling; large living room with fireplace; charming kitchen with breakfast room with bay window; master bedroom suite with walk-in closet and private bath with corner whirlpool tub and separate shower; spacious secondary bedroom served by a hall bath; and laundry room. The Alden plan is currently priced from $262,600 without a loft and $289,100 with a loft.
"The loft space is a very desirable feature for our busy professional buyers who tend to use the space as an in-home office or second-floor family room," Reichert said. "Each of the lofts includes an adequate storage closet and skylights adding to its charm."
Highlights of the Dover include a large eat-in kitchen with bay window; dining room with tray ceiling; spacious living room with fireplace and access to the balcony; master bedroom suite with walk-in closet and private bath with whirlpool tub; nicely-sized secondary bedroom served by a full hall bath; and laundry room. Currently, the Dover plan is priced from $258,600 without a loft and $286,100 with a loft.
In addition to the Homer Glen Exit and I-355 extension, Goodings Grove is also minutes from I-80 and I-55 as well as two Metra Stations. Restaurants, shopping, medical centers and other conveniences are within walking distance of the community and several Orland Park shopping centers are less than ten minutes away.
