Sales Underway in 3rd Condo Building at Farmingdale Village
Aug 9, 2007 -
With brisk condominium sales underway in buildings one and two at Farmingdale Village in Woodridge, builder, Gallagher and Henry, has released homes in building three for sale.
According to sales manager Ray Dahl, a combination of factors have contributed to buyer enthusiasm at Farmingdale Village Condominiums.
"All brick buildings, heated underground parking, storage space and elevator access have all contributed to the success at Farmingdale Village," Dahl said.
"In addition, the buildings consist of only16 homes per building and four homes per floor which our buyers really appreciate. Each home is a corner unit offering maximum sunlight and privacy. And, beyond the homes themselves, the area is a real draw for buyers. I-55 is a short drive to the south and I-355 is just to the west with Metra train service within minutes and every possible restaurant and retailer less than five minutes from your door."
Farmingdale Village is an established Gallagher and Henry community consisting of semi-custom single-family homes, priced from the $390,000s, and maintenance-free condominiums. A total of 192 condominiums are offered in twelve buildings with buildings one, two and three currently selling homes priced from the low $300,000s. Three professionally-decorated models are open daily for touring.
"Farmingdale Village has multi-generational appeal," Dahl said. "We have families in the single-family homes that have parents in the condominiums and, in many cases, have several siblings living within the Farmingdale Village community. We started building single-family homes in Farmingdale Village 26 years ago and the available land and the community's popularity led us to expand and open the condominiums. There is a level of security for buyers at Farmingdale Village who know we've been around for awhile and are committed to the neighborhood. They take comfort in knowing they're in an established neighborhood surrounded by semi-custom single-family residences."
The two plans which are shown as models include the Alden and the Dover. Both homes can be purchased with or without a second floor loft overlooking the living room.
Highlights of the Alden include two bedrooms; two baths; formal dining room with tray ceiling; large living room with fireplace; charming kitchen with breakfast room with bay window; master bedroom suite with walk-in closet and private bath with corner whirlpool tub and separate shower; spacious secondary bedroom served by a hall bath; and laundry room. The Alden plan is currently priced from $310,700 without a loft and $337,700 with a loft.
"The loft space is a very desirable feature for our buyers who like the flexibility the space offers," Dahl said. "Some buyers use it as an in-home office or hobby room and others have converted the space to be used by visiting grandchildren."
Highlights of the Dover include a large eat-in kitchen with bay window; dining room with tray ceiling; spacious living room with fireplace and access to the balcony; master bedroom suite with walk-in closet and private bath with whirlpool tub; nicely-sized secondary bedroom served by a full hall bath; and laundry room. Currently, the Dover plan is priced from $306,700 without a loft and $333,700 with a loft.
Exterior features include masonry construction; heated underground parking with a large storage space; professionally-landscaped surroundings with underground sprinkler system; and spacious balconies.
Interiors feature ceramic tile flooring in the foyer, kitchen, bathrooms and laundry rooms; kitchens with oak or maple kitchen cabinets, Corian counters, Moen faucets and Whirlpool appliances including range, hood, dishwasher and disposal; oak trim and doors; wall-to-wall carpeting in choice of color; central air conditioning; gas furnace; and 50-gallon water heater.
In addition to the convenient commuter access offered at Farmingdale Village, buyers are also minutes from Oak Brook Shopping Center and the newly opened Promenade in Bolingbrook. Seven Bridges Golf Club is nearby as is the Edward Hospital Health and Fitness Center. Children attend top-ranked grammar schools in District #66 and District #99 for high school.
