Lines of Buyers Flock to Radcliffe Place in Tinley Park
Jan 9, 2006 - They were strangers in the night and neighbors at dawn! That’s was just what happened at Radcliffe Place in Tinley Park, as enthusiastic homebuyers recently lined up to purchase their dream homes.
Frost-covered autos lined both sides of the street throughout the night and a cold early morning haze preceded the much anticipated day. Home buyers, equipped with fire pits, food, blankets, DVD’s, etc. began lining up nearly 26 hours before the home sites were scheduled to be released.
It was a party atmosphere as people were getting acquainted with their new neighbors. Some of these dedicated buyers slept in their autos while others just spent the night talking, laughing and making new friendships.
Radcliffe Place, an upscale community in Tinley Park, is the perfect environment for raising a family. It’s nestled in an area that is close to everything and is in an excellent school district. School age children will, residing at Radcliffe Place, attend Millennium School District No. 140, Prairie View Jr. High and Andrew High School.
Andrea and Tom Richardson of Tinley Park asked Grandma to take care of 17 month old Abby while they set out to be the first in line . A teacher at Joliet Central High School, Andrea brought plenty of food, DVD’s and a fire pit to begin the long wait. “We have been trying for three phases to purchase our home at Radcliffe Place so when this new phase opened, we were determined to be one of the first to arrive to purchase our new home,” said Tom. The Richard sons’ chose the classic four bedroom, 2-½ bath Hawthorne model.
John Kowalkowski of Tinley Park was the second to arrive. He did the waiting while his wife was at home with their 14 month old boy. “We wanted to live in Radcliffe Place because of its great location and excellent schools and we wanted a Gallagher & Henry home because of the high quality and service they render to their buyers,” said the sleep-deprived John Kowalkowski. “ Last night was like one big party and I got to know my new neighbors.” The Kowalkowski family chose the three bedroom, 2-½ bath Scottsdale model.
Happiness, combined with exhilaration, was reflected on the faces of Tom & Lisa Jerik of Tinley Park as they proudly chose the Wrightwood model for their family. The contemporary four bedroom, 2-½ bath two-story design includes a first-floor study. The Jeriks have two children, 13 year old Nicolette and 8 year old Michael, so an excellent school system was another important factor in choosing Radcliffe Place. “We enjoyed every minute of the night eating Pizza and meeting our new neighbors,“ said a tired, but happy, Lisa Jerik.
“We wanted a Gallagher & Henry home because we have family that built a town home in Long Run Creek and we knew first-hand that this was the builder for us……. We have been looking in various areas for over a year and we knew that we wanted a brick home in a great neighborhood and Gallagher & Henry builds brick homes in great neighborhoods,” said Julie & David Szafranski of Lockport. The couple, chose the Farnham model, a stately four bedroom, 2-½ bath two-story home with a dramatic two-story foyer.
Gallagher & Henry, with over 50 years experience in fine residential building, is a true collaboration between buyer and builder. Their brick homes have set the standard for quality giving the builder an unrivaled reputation for value-conscious construction set in the best southwest suburban locations.
