Berkshire model now open at Radcliffe Place in Tinley Park

Jul 18, 2001 - Gallagher & Henry has put the finishing touches on its largest model at Radcliffe Place in Tinley Park and invites homebuyers to stop in and take a look at the Berkshire, its new 3,463 square foot, two-story home. Base priced at $301,595, this four- bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home can be customized to meet each homeowner's lifestyle. Radcliffe Place offers ranch, multi-level and two-story brick homes that provide 2,200 to 3,463 square feet of customizable living space, yet are priced from $246,095 and extend up to $303,595 (prices subject to change). Planned for 390 homes, the community's homesites range from 1/4 to 1/2 acre and homeowners have access to several nearby parks and are within walking distance to the new Millennium grammar school.

With the sales center and model open, buyers now have an opportunity to walk through a well-crafted Gallagher & Henry home and asked detailed questions about its construction quality and long list of standard features.

The ten different homes at Radcliffe Place are filled with amenities and constructed of the finest materials. All homes are wrapped in energy saving Ty-Par housewrap to enhance energy conservation, heated by an 80% efficient gas-forced air heating system, and covered from foundation to roof by maintenance-free brick and aluminum siding.

Home interiors at Radcliffe Place are equally well equipped. Homebuyers can expect to find basements, volume ceilings, glamour baths with whirlpool or soaking tubs, oak trim and doors, ceramic tiling in front foyer, Moen bath and kitchen faucets, and an attractive appliance package (continuous clean gas stove/oven, multi-cycle dishwasher, vented hood fan and 1/2 hp garbage disposal).

Of the homes currently offered within the community, the Berkshire model accurately reflects the builder's craftsmanship. Offering 3,463 square feet of elegant living space, the Berkshire is a two-story floor plan with volume ceilings, basement, masonry fireplace, whirlpool tub and a private study. This model home, which features a variety of upgrades, is base priced from $301,595 to $303,595 (price subject to change).

A tour of this home begins with a two-story foyer and an impressive view of a large balcony on the second floor overlooking the living room below. The living room at the front of the home also sports a decorative set of windows with arched transoms, creating a distinctive exterior.

At the rear of the home, the kitchen, with pantry and built-in breakfast bar, opens to the dinette. Buyers will love the dinette's oversized French door that leads to the back yard.

Between the kitchen and living room is the Berkshire's formal dining room and enough space to accommodate a large dining table and elegant china cabinet.

To complete the entertainment possibilities, buyers will find a large 22'2" x 15' family room with masonry fireplace. With unobstructed views from this room, through the dinette and into the well-equipped kitchen, this area of the home will certainly be a major hub of activity. The first floor is completed with a study that is perfect for use as an office, a powder room off the foyer and a laundry room, which also serves as a mud room leading to the attached two-car garage.

Each of the three secondary bedrooms on the Berkshire's upper level offer abundant closet space for clothes or toys and the rooms are large enough for a variety of furniture arrangements. A full-size hall bathroom services all bedrooms.

The master suite contains a large walk-in closet and for architectural appeal the bedroom supports an attractive cathedral ceiling that can be decorated in numerous ways. Those seeking the ultimate bathroom with relaxation and luxury in mind will be more than satisfied. Within this private sanctuary are a whirlpool tub, separate shower and vanity with cultured marble top.

If homebuyers wish to tweak the Berkshire's standard floor plan to meet their lifestyle, it can be done. Family rooms can be expanded, additional volume ceilings can be incorporated, and interior walls can be relocated. The company is willing to make these types of alterations because it has years of building experience.

For further customization Gallagher & Henry offers to install (at an additional cost) hardwood flooring, additional bedrooms, skylights, central air conditioning, designer ceilings and numerous floor cover and cabinetry upgrades.

Nearby the community, there's an abundance of recreational facilities, shopping, transportation and cultural activities that allow buyers to live a fully active lifestyle without having to travel far to achieve it.

The community is near I-80 and I-57, and is only minutes away from two Metra train stations. Orland Square Mall is 10 minutes from a homeowners driveway, and children will attend the New Millennium elementary school (located in Radcliffe Place), Prairie View Junior High and Andrew High School.

Radcliffe Place is at 175th Street and 88th Avenue. The sales center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, please call (708) 614-0800.
