Only two dozen home sites remain at Fairmont Village
Aug 31, 2001 - Fairmont Village, an attractive single-family home community conveniently located near stores, restaurants and parks, is down to its last 24 brick homes. The mid-priced Gallagher & Henry community, which runs parallel to the beautiful McCarthy Park, offers a dozen beautiful floor plans that are sure to please a wide variety of buyers. Plus, with the extensive selection of ranch, bi-level, tri-level and two-story homes to choose from, the community avoids the "cookie cutter" look of many subdivisions. These beautiful Tinley Park homes provide 2,000 to 3,463 square feet of customizable living space and are priced from $227,010 to $300,395 (prices subject to change without notice).
These new homes typically feature face brick on all four sides, three/four or five bedrooms with a master bedroom suite, formal dining rooms, spacious breakfast rooms, elegant living rooms and family rooms with masonry fireplaces (optional). Many homes also include two-story or cathedral entry foyers, oversized garages and basements.
Standard features and finishes to be found in all Fairmont Village homes include oak cabinetry, GE brand appliances (stove, dishwasher, range hood and garbage disposal), two-car garages, basement, whirlpool tub (per plan), stained oak trim and doors, and ceramic floor tile in baths and foyer.
Each floor plan is available in a variety of exterior elevations and color schemes. If desired, homebuyers can request Gallagher & Henry to make some alterations on a home to suit their individual lifestyle. Optional available amenities include: skylights to add natural light to any room, wood burning masonry fireplace to chase away the cold of winter, central air conditioning to make the hot summer days bearable and thermostatically controlled humidifier and air cleaners to provide a more comfortable environment to live in. Of course, virtually any amenity that a homeowner wishes to have installed in his or her home is available.
In addition to providing a high quality home, Gallagher & Henry's Fairmont Village provides a perfect environment to raise a family. For exercise and relaxation, residents are within walking distance to the 10-acre McCarthy Park, which includes miniature golf, hiking/bicycling paths and a lake that is large enough to cast out a fishing line and maybe bring home dinner. For more activities families may also visit Centennial Park, Jaycee Grove, and Gunther Sport Field. The Olcott Avenue Bridge over Midlothian Creek gives residents access to another scenic bike trail.
Tinley Park commuters are a short drive from I-80 and I-57 and can reach downtown Chicago in 50 minutes. Drive times to Midway and O'Hare airports are 35 and 50 minutes respectively. Two Metra train stations provide an opportunity to reach the Chicago Loop in only 55 minutes.
Major retail venues in the immediate area are the Orland Square Mall, Orland Park Place and Brementown, as well as literally hundreds of small shop retail offerings along LaGrange Road (Route 45). Along Harlem Avenue and 171st Street, Tinley Park offers numerous medium-sized shopping centers with retail stores including, video shops, ice cream parlors, hardware stores, grocery stores, restaurants and more.
Of course education is a top concern for Fairmont Village homebuyers, and they will not be disappointed. Children attend John S. Bannes elementary school, Virgil I. Grissom Junior High School and Victor Andrew High School.
Decorated models and sales center for Fairmont Village is located 1 mile west of Harlem Avenue at the intersection to 171st Street and 80th Avenue. The community is open 10am to 6pm daily.. For more information please call (708) 429-0300.
