Luxury ranch plans available in Kingston Hills
Sep 28, 2001 - Ranch style homes have withstood the test of time, and have achieved the designation of being a classic. As a result of new finishes and design elements that have enhanced the appearance, convenience and comfort of this style of home, ranch sales continue to climb. To satisfy this growing market segment, Gallagher & Henry now offers a variety of ranch plans at its Kingston Hills community in Homer Glen. These brick ranch homes with basements provide 1,863 to 2,500 square feet of space and are base priced from $241,395 to $286,295.
One of the most popular ranch plans in Kingston Hills is the Scottsdale, a brick ranch with two-car attached garage and basement. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a spacious foyer with 11-foot ceiling and grand views of the (19'8" x 14'6") living room with cathedral ceiling stretching overhead. Behind the living room is the formal dining room that is awash with natural light filtering through a wall of oversized windows. Continuing through the dining room, quests may enter the dramatic (14'6" x 20'4") family room, which includes a vaulted ceiling and masonry fireplace. As with other rooms, the family room is bathed in sunlight from large windows.
The Scottsdale's spacious dinette is large enough for a table and chairs between its family room and kitchen. Within the large kitchen are an abundance of quality cabinets, a desk and a full set of name brand appliances (gas stove with vented range hood, garbage disposal and dishwasher). For drama and additional light, a large skylight is set in the kitchen’s 11-foot tall ceiling.

Standard amenities to be found in all Kingston Hills homes include: partial or full brick exteriors, vinyl clad casement windows, ceramic tiled baths, ceramic in foyer, 50-gallon hot water heater and General Electric kitchen appliances (gas oven/range, range hood, 1/2 h.p. garbage disposal and multi-cycle dishwasher).
Optional available amenities include: gas logs for fireplace, hardwood flooring, additional bedrooms, skylights, three-car garage, central air conditioning, designer ceilings and numerous material upgrades. Because of the community’s rolling topography, many 1/4 to 1/3-acre homesites are available to accommodate the construction of homes with window or walkout basements. There are also a variety of homesites available that back up to mature trees or set next to peaceful ponds.
Nearby the community, there's an abundance of recreational facilities, shopping, transportation and cultural activities that allow buyers to live a fully active lifestyle without having to travel far to achieve it. The community is near excellent schools (Homer Elementary School, Hadley Junior High School and Lockport East High School). Also nearby are a new Dominick’s grocery store, K-Mart, Blockbuster Video and future Home Depot.
